Presentation of the interventions done to restore and preserve the burial chamber of the tomb of the Vizier Useramun (TT 61), dating to the first half of the 18th Dynasty (ca. 1470-1450 BCE). The underground architectural space was found to be in a very poor state of conservation due to anthropic damage (fires, theft), which had not completely ruined the pictorial decoration of the walls thanks to the stable and dry microclimatic conditions of the space and to the good technique used in the preparation of the walls. The interventions have succeeded in stabilizing the situation by applying the principle of minimal intervention, ensuring the preservation of the chamber without altering the material history of the monument, as well as in implementing preventive conservation measures.
